When Cider ships, our goal is to have the designer load all XAML, but we're not quite perfect yet. Below you'll find a list of known load limitations in the November CTP (despite what the page title says). Note that while the designer may not display all XAML, the runtime will at F5, provided the XAML is valid.

Here are the most important load limitations you'll encounter:
