Answer:

* Guidance Explorer is a tool to find and use relevant patterns & practices guidance. When you install Guidance Explorer you also get the Guidance Library.
* The guidance library contains checklists and guidelines covering design, implementation and deployment topics. It will evolve over time to contain more guidance types - such as patterns and scenarios.
