Search view results are not visible in parent

When you select a folder or library node it will normally show all of the items in all child nodes as well. Search views, however, behave differently. If the parent node contains a search view, the results of the search will not show in the parent, you can only see them if you select the search view explicitly.

You can see this by creating a new folder, then create a search view as a child of that folder. When you select the search view you will see the results. When you select the folder you will not.
