Subscribing to a UNC library that contains items already in your library will reference files locally rather than using shared UNC location

Guidance Explorer uses GUIDs on each item to determine uniqueness. If you subscribe-from-file to a library that has items with same GUID then Guidance Explorer will treat these items as if they were local, rather than remote. This means you will not see changes to, or be able to modify, the remote version.

To work around this, delete local versions of these items and subscribe again.

To determine if you are impacted, edit an item in the subscribed from file library and look at its file path. If the file path is not of the subscribed library then you have another item in a local library with the same GUID.

Importing libraries will work properly - GUIDs are automatically updated in the imported library if there is a conflict.
