Access control

* Provide a way to comment without requiring .NET Passport - possibly using CAPTCHA
* If you decide to not require a .net passport, please make that optional. I like the idea of people being responsible for their comments. -- BillHowell
* I, too, would like a way to post comments without requiring a Passport account. -- Jordo
* Allow us to ban individual users from commenting (either by IP or passport) -- Abbie
* Allow us to restrict individual users from reading specific entries -- HADAA
* Please allow comments to be editable by the authenticated commenter. -- BillHowell
* This should be a setting the space owner can choose to turn on or off. I prefer having comments remain static -- strawberryJAMM
* Provide the ability to set time limits for commenting (in the range of 1 - 2 weeks); it seems pointless for people to comment on something when it has become old news. -- BryanF

Display options

* List comments from oldest to newest, instead of vice versa -- Abbie
* Something else that could be a parameter that a space owner can choose. -- strawberryJAMM
* I would like to have my comments be displayed by latest, last. Andre
* Please allow owners of MSN Spaces to specify whether they want comments to be displayed chronologically (as seen in most blogs) or reverse chronologically (as seen in MSN Spaces). -- WoostaChris
* Allow us the ability to respond to individual comments, instead of tacking them onto the bottom/top. -- Abbie
* That is, allow for and display nested comments. -- strawberryJAMM

Input options

* Allow some rich text editing when creating comments. Would be good to put in friendly hyperlinks. -- GuitarGav
* Increase maximum characters allowed in comments to enable longer "discussions" through comments (currently the maximum is only 1024 characters). -- strawberryJAMM
* Allow links to be posted within comments -- Abbie
* This should also be an optional setting that a space owner can turn on or off (when links are allowed, it may encourage "comment spam" that is aiming to increasing Google page ranks -- strawberryJAMM
* When I click a Comment in the table it should show the comment in a textbox, not the original post again with the comments below it. The comment should be first, then an Admin edit box below it so I can reply with same features as original post. Threaded comments would be cool and I should be able to edit my own comments. -- WilliamStacey
* When I make a comment, why doesn't the MSN Space Service automatically remember my Space URL in the comment entry form, I have to always type it back in. Andre
* Allow blog entries to be rated -- DanielFeies
Allow us to set commenting on each blog individually. Comments allowed or not allowed per blog not spaces wide.

Trackback problems

* Check into problem where sending trackbacks outside of the MSN spaces domain do not show up in destination blog (I have tested this in my MT blog, they are not getting sent for some reason) -- EdOz
* Trackbacks from Spaces to Haloscan don't work. I don't know whether this is a Spaces or Haloscan problem -- LagBolt
* I've come across this problem as well. I've also had problems tracking back to TypePad blogs -- Tim
* Could we have a text field in trackbacks for the "excerpt" -- LagBolt
* Another essential. The trackback feature needs to tell people who see our trackbacks WHY they should take a look -- Tim

Other stuff

* Would be nice to have a way to track the comments I left on other spaces -- DanielFeies
* Names on comments: Anyone with a passport can write any name they want. I'd like it more like Yahoo! 360 has. It would be nice to show their first name and last initial along with their username which always links to their blog.

Don't just add stuff here at the end -- scroll up and see if there's a better place for it in one of the existing topics. Try to keep the formatting consistent (i.e. !!! headers and * bullets)
