Emoticons
* Make "standard" MSN style emoticon images available for insertion in post editor --
strawberryJAMM * Automatically convert text representing standard emoticons found in text submitted via email to the associated MSN emoticon image --
strawberryJAMM * Allow users to add their own emoticons to their space (along with unique text representations) in the same way that MSN 7.0 does. --

Images
* Adding Images
* Make it possible to display hosted images, say, via HTML tag. I guess what I'm trying to say is, make an HTML editor.
* When I copy images from a location such as Microsoft Word or a Web Page into the Add Entry Form it is not displayed, only just the frame of the image
Andre * Text Wrapping needs to be available in the Add Entry Form for Images.
Andre * Insert Image Option – I think it makes sense to have this on the Add Entry Form toolbar, where the user can easily browse either his/her local hard disk or photo albums to insert an image.
Andre * Is there a way to insert images inline in an entry, rather than at the bottom? If not, there should be! --
LagBolt
Fonts
* Font list, Font size, I also notice when I type large post inside Office Word, copy and Paste it into the MSN Spaces Add Entry Form, and publish it, it either scatters the text across the blog entry or some of text is not displayed at all, another problem is support of characters copied from within Word such as Bullets and Indentation.
Andre * Locked default font, I notice when I paste information from other sources, such as Word or another webpage that might be using another font, it uses that font. I use Tahoma, size 9, I want all might text to be pasted into the Add Entry Form and published by default with those options.
Andre
Formatting Options
* Tables – Support for Tables in the Add Entry Form would be nice, no I don’t want turn it into Microsoft Office, but it would be nice.
Andre * Basic colour pallette, or at least the option to choose it in stead of Custom Color pallette.
* Quote Tag: Add a button so you can quote something in your entries. Have it automaticly indent and put a border which you can type text into from the editor. - Rossy
* Allow entries to be truncated with a More ... link to the full entry --
LagBolt * Get rid of the irritating error in the editor that insists on inserting a \ in front of a '. For example, when I write "I'm" it appears as "I\'m" --
GeoffC * The colour pallette should include a "default colour" option that sets the font colour to mirror whatever the default for that theme is. Selecting a new theme and having to backtrack and fix the fonts is most irritating. --

Scheduled and Sticky Posts
* Schedule Automated Post – I would like to have the option to save drafts and specify dates and times when I they should be published; this would be great if you are not near a computer.
Andre * Timed publishing, so that a bunch of blog entries could be scheduled --
TDavid * Be able to edit Post Date of a blog - I would like to move my blog postings from another blogging service into MSN Spaces. I could do it one by one, but I would like to maintain the original posted dates. --
JMOliver * Have a particular post or batch of post always displayed at the top.
Andre * Yes, at least the ability to have one sticky post --
TDavid
Spell-checking
* The text Editor needs a spell-checker
* Absolutely agree! --
strawberryJAMM * Concur, I get by with http://iespell.com it's a great spell checker plug-in for IE. Note the right click "Check Spelling" feature does not work, but the spell check icon in the toolbar does. --
Tmarshburn * You can also use my spell checked msn spaces posting form at http://www.anotherblog.com/spellit --

Other Stuff
* No Context menu available in Entry Form, I cannot right click on text and have options to either copy or paste in the Form.
Andre * Better looking toolbar, one similar to Office 2003 boldness.
Andre * I like the one that Channel9 uses. If you go to the add post page (just click reply to any post in the forums) and you will see a nice shiny toolbar (they even have one for Firefox!) --
LoadsGood * The Prohibited Language Checker is ridiculously over-sensitive. It definitely seems to have a thing about birds. It refuses to accept an entry with the word "chicken", and today I found that I couldn't use the word "Thrush" in the title of an entry on a song thrush. It's a good thing I'm not an ornithologist. What is even more frustrating is that the checker simply says "you have used prohibited language" and doesn't even point to the offending words. So then follows a long period of elimination, while the user gets more and more frustrated with the idiocy of the system. --

Don't just add stuff here at the end -- scroll up and see if there's a better place for it in one of the existing topics. Try to keep the formatting consistent (i.e. !!! headers and * bullets)
