MSN Spaces Feedback on Statistics
Summary: Add your feedback and comments about the statistics feature on
MSNSpaces See
MSNSpacesFeedback for a complete list of topics on which you can leave feedback.
* Clean up statistics. Parse the referer to just the persons space. And if possible indicate if space is public or not. Allow list to be sortable with totals, e.g. I'd like to see which blog is attracting most interest and who 'my top ten visitors are'. --
GuitarGav * This is essential. I know the statistics section was rushed, but it's needed. Also, allow an RSS feed for statistics and downloadable packages - CSV table - so people can analyze them themselves. -Michael Griffiths
* Global statistics, perhaps on the main Spaces home page or even as another module. Who are the top 100 (public) spaces (visitor hits, trackbacks, or comments). Might be a good way for people to find new popular content. There's a similar gauge for MSN Groups so that you can see which group is most active before joining. Again, if spaces linked with MSN Directory/Profiles then the top 100 could be filtered by subject/interest. --
GuitarGav * Keep the detailed history longer than 24 hours. -- justAnotherSE
* Put the stats page first, not last (what were you thinking? ;)) --
LoadsGood * More information on page visitor, such as geographical location. For an example check out http://statcounter.com --
JMOliver *More detailed info on the page visitor would be appreciated, IP address, browser used, etc. I get lots of hits, but I don't know if it's the same people, different people or what? Being able to log the IP in statistics might be able to show that a Space has a regular readership. -- hillboy8
* Would also like to see count of aggregator hits --
GuitarGav * Ignore visits setting. In order to get a more accurate count of the visitors to my MSN Spaces, I can use this setting to make MSN Spaces ignore my own visits. --
