Main Page

* feature different spaces
* feature tips & tricks
* perhaps move the "Get Your Own Space!" sidebar here instead of telling me "Get Your Own Space!" as I'm logged INTO mine. -- ellecue
* feature the Gods (ryan, mike, paul, etc)
* it is sooo bland ... spaces is a community, bring it together people! -- Abbie
* Agree that it's bland :) -- MikeTorres
* There should be a "Dear Abbie" section hehe -- Abbie
* It's not interesting. And, I find it damn hard to navigate. Having to click "Get Your Own Space" to return to your site confused me for almost a week, before I read Mike Torres' site explaining it. I like the trend towards large images as seen on the main Microsoft site (www.microsoft.com); something like that would be very good, because it's easy to navigate. -Michael Griffiths
* It would be v. cool to have a "Spaces Around the World" section, where you show most recent spaces sorted by the country of origin; can only find Cdn or Chinese spaces, no matter how hard I'm looking. -- ellecue

Opening in New Window

* Add some indication of when clicking a link will open a new browser window vs loading in the current window? I can't figure the logic of when I get a new window for links inside a post or list and when I don't. -- MaryPCB
* It's OK to open a new window when you click on a blog in the updated spaces section of your own blog (so you don't "lose" the window you're logged in to), but please don't open yet another new window when you click on a blog in that blog's updated spaces list and so on -- LagBolt

Themes

* Enable HTML editing of navigation and interface -- Abbie
* on the themes w/ photo backgrounds, make it so the image extends down w/ entries (does that make sense??) -- Abbie
* Center themes! I hate this left sided look -- Abbie
* Abbie, you can do that with a three column layout under Customize > Customize. Of course its only for the main page -- DeWey
* Even in three column layout, the three columns are over on the left of the window -- Raistlan
* Allow customized themes to be created on the fly, imported and/or uploaded externally. -- justAnotherSE
* Changes to the default theme:
* Larger font (or adjustable font sizes) -- LagBolt
* Make links more visible -- LagBolt
* Agree with LagBolt.. Larger fonts would be very much appreciated! -- MainGonzo
* if the width of the Space could actually change according to diff. resolutions/screen sizes, etc. It's too small as it is, and often everything gets squeezed in together. -- ellecue
* With Fusion theme, pipe character to the right of the RSS image at bottom of MSN Spaces blogs does not match the color of the pipe characters to the right of Feeback and Report Abuse links. Please fix this. -- WoostaChris
* Either stop using fixed-width layout or allow for column size customization like the My MSN pages. -- Heath
* I like the idea of transparent module backgrounds, but hate that it also makes pictures transparent. Please make this an option if possible. -- Jeff

Other Stuff

* Add the standard XML gif next to the "Syndicate this site" link. This will make the site more consistent with others on the net and the visual cue should help show the site is syndicatable (is that a word?) -- GuitarGav
* I second this, except take away the words "Syndicate this site" and just add an RSS icon. -- LoadsGood
* FIXED: An RSS icon has been added to the bottom of MSN Spaces blogs. -- WoostaChris
* when customizing our layout, allow us to input our own # of entries per page ... not that 5, 10, etc -- Abbie
* a mobile view for pda's -- BillHowell
* Bill - try http://mobile.spaces.msn.com/members/mike . It isn't localized in any languages other than Japanese right now, but for basic tasks, it works. Additionally, have you tried Bloglines Mobile
* Okay I'll bite. Where is bloglines mobile? There doesn't seem to be a link on their site. And I'll try your other suggestion also --BillHowell
* Let the user change ui language -- Henry Boehlert. I'll second that. Today (13 May 2005) some sort of switch appears to have been thrown in Passport services, and now my MSN Spaces UI language is Dutch - Give me back my English! Geoff Coupe
* A good feature would replace the links in "Archives" webpart with a tree view. Expanding the archive shows the contents (i.e. title of each blog entry for that month). Some poeple (like Mike and others) have a lot of good content but it can be slow to find. A auto-generated contents should straightforward with XSLT (assuming you persist in XML). -- GuitarGav
* What's the point of telling me "Get Your Own Space!" as I'm editing mine? I'm there already, aren't I? -- ellecue

Don't just add stuff here at the end -- scroll up and see if there's a better place for it in one of the existing topics. Try to keep the formatting consistent (i.e. !!! headers and * bullets)
