Summary: extract versioned documents

The feature that allowed previous versions of Word to save multiple versions of a document in a single file has been deprecated in Word 2007. A conversion straight to the new Open XML format will result in the loss of all the previous versions. To avoid that, the Version Extraction Tool can be used to extract the versions from a versioned Word file.

VET will create a new folder for each versioned file and will save the extracted files in that folder.

VET requires a FileList exported from the Reporting Tool It will attempt version extraction on each of these files. Information on failures or succesfully created files is produced in the log files.
