How to Create a Windows Live ID
The following site is where you will find all the WLID information, please include in you Favorites:
https://accountservices.passport.net/ppnetworkhome.srf?vv=450&lc=1033
Before you install Windows Live
OneCare (WLOC), it is better that you have already registered, and have available for use the WLID.
The majority of the WLOC installation problems are caused by trying to do the WLID registering and WLOC installation, both simultaneously. I think it's a big mistake. Do one at a time.
After you are registered to WLID, open your account and play and have fun with the followings (remember to logout when completed, don't just close the window):
*Account Summary
*Settings
*Services
*Billing
*Feed Back
*Help Central
To open an account, login to the WLID Site and proceed as follows:
A- If you don't have a WLID account: (top part of the site page) MSN Account Services offers you 3 options to setup the WLID, which are as follows:
1. Sign up for a free MSN hotmail account: you need to sign to their free account. During this specific process, Microsoft will validate the geographical place you are at (see notes on the geographical settings at the end). A new username will be offered and you can use you old password or select the stronger security one they offer. Write the username and password down, for they will be required for all future transactions. Remember that after you setup your WLID account, you can later access it and make all the valid changes you like.
2. Use an email address you already have: in this process Microsoft Customers Support sends an email message, to the email address you used for your credentials. Follow the instructions on the email, to confirm that it is your own valid, geographic validation, and the one you are going to use for WLID.
3. Sign up for a limited account: in this process Microsoft Customers Support does not send an email, and you don't need to confirm your email address. This method is typical when you are testing software, where no geographical validation is required.
B- If you have a WLID account: (lower part of the site page) Just enter the email and password you used when you opened the WLID.
Now that you have enjoyed all the goodies of having your own WLID, go for the WLOC installation http://onecare.live.com.
Activation redirecting you to get.live.com?
Issue - When clicking on "Subscribe Now" or "Add Another PC" or trying to activate

Resolution - Go into Internet Explorer and click Tools / Internet Options and click the Languages button. Change the language to reflect your current geographic location and click OK.
This can also happen if you are trying activate a subscription and your geographic location is not one of the countries where Windows Live
OneCare is available for purchase.
Check the FAQ listed here, for a list of countries where
OneCare is currently available - http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/faq.htm this is the US site, you can navigate to the FAQ for your locale by starting at http://onecare.live.com
