Uninstall Instructions

To uninstall Windows Live OneCare:

1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
2. Under Pick a category, click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Under Pick a task, click Remove a Program.
4. In the Currently installed programs list, click Windows Live OneCare, and then click Remove.

If Windows Live OneCare does not uninstall as expected, download the Windows Live OneCare Uninstall Cleanup Tool and follow the program instructions to completely uninstall.

Note, you will be prompted to restart your computer. You must restart your computer in order to completely uninstall Windows Live OneCare.

If you happened to hit an issue with uninstalling OneCare v1.5 (which is now live), give this tool a shot:

This tool was developed to cleanup both OneCare v1.1 installations (older) as well as the v1.5 version, and the tool works on both XP and Vista.
