How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
In this video, Fil Fortes provides a great overview of using Windows Presentation Foundation to create a vacation travelogue. Starting with a blank document, he builds a solution up using XAML, Visual Studio 2005 and Expression Interactive Designer that can be browsed over the web. Pretty neat!

"Testa", you'll need to install the latest beta bits for .Net 3.0, the SDK, Interactive Designer, etc...
Here's a wiki on Channel 9 that might help:
http://channel9.msdn.com/wiki/default.aspx/Cider.AugustCTPReleaseNotes
and here's where you can get Interactive Designer:
http://www.microsoft.com/products/expression/en/interactive_designer/id_free_trial.aspx
Make sure all of your beta applications are of the same release - as of today that's "RC1".
We have a interesting version of this XBAP application which adds a few features such as animation of the images in the list box based on mouse over and selection. I have posted this XBAP at www.travelswithcal.com/wpfzone/.
Since Filipe had first dibs on photos from Thailand and Cambodia, I decided to use some of my photos from Senegal instead. Now that the application is built, I've decided to see how much time is required to make additional albums (not of course including the time to tune up the photos in Photoshop or to write the accompanying text).
