Do you like to tweet from your Windows Mobile phone but don’t want the hassle of having to launch an app, be bothered with updates, or drain your battery as the app polls the service? If you said “yes” to those issues, you may be interested in this new Today screen widget for Twitter instead: TwitToday. (Note: Today screen widgets are for touchscreen devices only).
Once installed, a textbox is added to the Today Screen of your Windows Mobile 5 or 6 phone. To send a tweet, simply fill in your text and hit “OK.” When the textbox is not in use, it becomes transparent, fading into the background. As a bonus, if you tap the Twitter icon next to the textbox, you’ll be taken to Twitter’s mobile site at m.twitter.com where you can check your replies, DMs, and friends’ updates.
To add TwitToday to your mobile phone, download the latest version here (CAB file).
