New Xbox 360 Ringtones (And They're Official!)

Xbox’s Major Nelson has just posted new ringtones based on sounds from the newly updated Xbox 360 console, the one referred to (unofficially) as the Xbox Slim.

The ringtones are the sounds the new Xbox makes when you turn it on or eject a disc. That may sound rather geeky, but the sounds are actually pretty cool to have on your phone. Well, maybe not for a ringtone per se, but they would definitely work for notifications - like when you get a new email message or SMS text, for example.

As ringtones, they’d be a bit understated. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. (I’d much rather hear these than Lady Gaga, thank you very much). 

The tones are now available in two formats: the MP3 version and an iPhone-friendly ringtone version. You can grab them both, here:
