The Virtual Earth team has just launched a new program called GoVE which lets state and local governments, municipalities, and aerial photographers share their own imagery with Microsoft and get it published on Virtual Earth. After checking out maps.live.com to verify that the imagery they have it news and has a higher resolution of what's currently being offered online, the organizations can then contact the team by sending an email to GoVE@microsoft.com. After the data is received by Microsoft, it takes one to three months for it to show up online depending on how much work it needs and what other projects are being worked on at the time.

Sounds awesome. I really hope local governments take advantage of this offer. Some of VE's imagery data of Houston is already outdated in the every growing city. Even the downtown maps, seemed outdated 2-3 years ago.
I also hope GoVE is international. The team really doesn't do much justice for imagery in African and South American countries.

What am looking for is an update for Middleeast pictures. Take a look on Google updates over pictures here, they are awesome very close and people start publish alot of pictures and information around them. I LOVE Live VE, actually it's much amazing than goog or any other company. But am looking seriously forward to see it as i believe further ahead than this google thing.
