With the release of Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 7, just around the corner, the marketing department has come up with a creative way to drum up excitement for event. They’re giving away free copies of the Windows 7 DVD! Wait, there is a small catch though. In order to get your free copy of the new OS, you have to agree to hold a Windows 7 launch party and invite 9 (or more) friends to join you. If that sounds like something you’d like to do, you can sign up at houseparty.com to be a party host. If selected, you’ll receive a free copy of a special “Signature Edition” of Windows 7 Ultimate. You’ll even get a chance to win a new computer.

I have been BETA testing Windows 7 since the day that it came to public release. I adore Windows 7 and just signed up to host a party so I can show friends and clients how Windows 7 truly is the next step in Operating Systems.
I have no friends. Does online parties (xbox live) count?
