Windows 7: Sometimes it's the Little Things

Since Windows 7 was announced (and now made available for download in beta form), all we’ve been hearing about are the big changes – Aero Peek, the taskbar, Play-To, etc. Sometimes, though, it’s the little things that make the biggest differences. For me, as a blogger, one of the more useful features is the ability to search within a “browse for files” window.
Over the years, I’ve accumulated a slew of images and screenshots which I use for blog posts, but finding the right one can sometimes be a challenge. But in Windows 7, there’s a search box built right into my browse window! (See photo). That means that instead of having to scroll around through hundreds of photos, I can just search to find the one I need.
I have to admit, this was a feature I nearly overlooked when I first installed Windows 7, but once I noticed it was there and began using it, it has been a huge timesaver. It’s definitely on my list of things I could not live without now!

Yeah... so haven't we had this since 2006 when Vista came out? I.. don't really see the excitement. Unless this is some sort of marketing thing.

LOL, I signed up just so I could comment and ask,
Are you moving from XP to Windows 7?
Because this feature has been in Vista ALL THIS TIME!
It just depends on if the program calls the newer API for the save and browse dialog boxes.
I think this is a marketing scam.

Hm i thought the big new thing at Windows 7 Search is that you can add more OpenSearch provider to your Destopsearch. A little bit confused about your blog, because on your you only search with the regular Desktopsearch which we have already on Vista. But if it makes you happy
