Around this office we've had mixed feelings about this game, it looks great and it seems fun... but it also seems a bit kid-focused (which isn't really a bad thing, but it doesn't get us as excited as Gears of War, know what I mean?). Now that it is out though, it turns out that almost everyone in the office is talking about getting it and I think that excitement is due in a large part to the reviews we've been reading. Take this review for example, DeaconBlade is a true gamer's gamer so when I can really see the enthusiasm in his writing as he talks about building his garden I just have to take it seriously.

Yah, I picked it up a couple days ago for my wife. She's been excited about getting it ever since she saw the first E3 video we did. She absolutely loves the game and I have to say it's quite addicting. I like to help her while she builds her garden.
So even though I may be playing a lot of Gears of War lately, taking a break to work on a Viva Pinata garden is a blast! I wonder when we're going to see more games like this in the future.
My 3 year old loves this game and show. All I gotta say to make her laugh is "Pinata yata yata". For what it is, I think it's good to have something for the little ones. Guys like me aren't aloud to play the violent games in front of their little ones. Because of this, her favorite video game of all time is Kameo.
Still, I would have liked to have seen some of the stuff from Gears of War mixed into the game as optionals for the rest of us. Hold the phone... I think the idea of mixing "curb stomping" with Pinatas is a natural. Man, if they ever sold a Viva Pinata skinz makeover pack for Gears, I'd so buy it.
Pinatas of War...has a nice ring to it, eh?

I haven't played any demos or seen any trailers. Yet it still seems pretty cool. By the way, have you guys been catching the Tv show??
