How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
Kirk Evans demonstrates the new features of
Visual Studio Extensions for Windows SharePoint Services (VSeWSS) 1.3 February 2009 CTP. We focus on the deployment aspects of SharePoint development and how VSeWSS makes this much easier in the current release. This is part 1 of a series on SharePoint
for Developers.

You could try the HD version of download
Very nice, short and to the point!
Getting an error message when running the WSP View;
"The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Negotiate'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Negotiate,NTLM'.
I tried following your demo in my virtual environment with Admin credentials. Ideas?
Found this answer to this in the VSeWSS 1 3 Mar 2009 CTP Release Notes.rtf, found on the same page you download the VSeWSS 1.3 extension;
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=fb9d4b85-da2a-432e-91fb-d505199c49f6
The extension runs as a service but needs elevated privileges which are noted in the release notes.
I like it, I am going to try updating my Visual Studio right now...
Hi Thanks for your hard work and I have decided to use VseWSS 1.3 on my new project.
Thanks
Mani Subramanian
Did you run the scrips before install of VSeWSS 1.3?
I think the offender may be below
cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/1/root/NTAuthenticationProviders "Negotiate,NTLM"
This is yet another poor example. There is no discussion about the original creation of the site that is needed to deploy. There is no discussion about what to do if you encounter errors, which I did. You live in some World where everything works perfectly for you, sadly, that is not the real World.
