How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
Do you think when the MIX event comes to a close that we close up shop and go away for a year until the next conference? No way. Meet
Thomas Lewis (or
TommyLee as some of us like to call him), manager of the
MIX Online team. Folks like Thomas and his band of designers and developers keep the conversation going by writing strongly voiced editorial pieces about the standards-based web, speaking at events all over the globe, or building and releasing (for free,
of course) open source software for folks to use. This team is breaking down barriers and giving a unique perspective to the web . . . one you may not necessarily expect to hear from Microsoft. And we like it that way! Meet Thomas, and the whole MIX Online
gang, in Vegas at MIX10. Register today.

Cool, like the concept of year round site - does this mean you will get regional and pull in the Remix events?
Hi everyone, this is Thomas. During the show I mentioned a data visualization contest to win a free ticket to MIX10. You can find out about it at http://www.visitmix.com/Opinions/I-Can-Haz-Data-Visualization. Be sure to follow our twitter feed for more opportunities to win a ticket and to get the latest updates on writings, lab, etc. Also, feel free to follow me on Twitter if you like (be warned, I talk about heavy metal, HTML5, brutality, web standards, horror movies and MIX Online). Please come check us out at http://visitmix.com.
@Ian2 - Although at times confusing, the community site (MIX Online) at http://visitmix.com is seperate from the conference site (MIX) at http://live.visitmix.com. Both actually are available year-round. Our site, MIX Online posts labs, writings, etc. throughout the year. The conference site stays up so that folks can watch videos of sessions and keynotes after the event as well.
There is no current plan to pull in the regional events to the conference site, but something I will definitely put on the list for us to consider. Thanks!
I'm still chuckling from the fake lift - nice job!
Loved the conversation about inclusiveness and how developers use multiple technologies to get the job done.
Very similar conversations going on in the RIA Community as well:

Can't wait for MIX!
