When I heard that the Microsoft press briefing was being held at a High School in Santa Monica California I thought, "Really? wow, that's lame." But when I walked into a field of huge glowing balls and neon green lights illuminating the sky, my tune quickly changed. Stadium seating surrounded a pool of water backed by a tremendous movie screen with stages on both sides. It was, for lack of a better word, badass. And THEN we get to the games! I'll let you watch for yourself to see what Peter Moore had to say and show...but trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Jade Raymond is gorgeous. She could talk about yogurt and I would be enthralled.

Moore said this year's 360 holiday lineup is the best in history and I can't disagree. Starting in August... Stranglehold, Bioshock, PGR3, Halo 3, GTA4, Turok, Army of Two, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Splinter Cell 5, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Madden... I just wish they'd spread it out more. Not much to play all summer, then BAM, too much.
Oh, and I spotted you on Scot TV

Pitty Tina couldn't be there. Actually, I thought Microsoft and Sony had the best to show this year. I definitely give the edge to Microsoft, though. I have to hand it to the guys and girls in Redmond, you sure know how to put on a good show.
As a dedicated Nintendo fan, however, I was disappointed with what the house Mario that built had to show. Wii Fit, the Wii Zapper, and Mario Kart Wii all look nice, but I want to see some more dedicated games and hardware for established gamers. It really feels like Nintendo is ignoring the hardcore crowd for a casual audience. I want to see improvements to the Wii firmware, an online community, and where is badly-needed Wii Hard drive?

Tina has the same effect on me.
Jade, however, has never done much for me.

Very cool - wish I could have seen the whole thing.
The Halo edition Xbox didn't seem to get the reaction he was looking for, though...

I thought Microsofts conference was the best out of the lot, there were some fantastic games that were highlighted. The whole thing also seemed to keep peoples attention. What was lacking was any new revelations, but maybe those will come at later events in the year like E for All etc. [LS]

I think a lot of people regard the Halo 3 Xbox 360 is something of a Joke. It's butt-ugly and completely useless without Halo 3 packed in. Besides, almost no one is buying the 360 pro anymore. Every new adopter I know has invested in the Elite model with good reason.
Honestly, the Halo 3 Xbox 360 is almost as pointless as the Halo 3 Zune. Just because Microsoft puts a Halo veneer on the same lackluster product doesn't mean we're going to buy it.
