How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- WMV (WMV Video)
We all love taking digital photos but with Photosynth you can take them to the next level.
I'm sure you've all heard of this amazing new application that allows you to digitally stitch your pics together to create new 3D panoramic environments. In this piece you'll learn exactly how to make the most of Microsoft's new toy for photogs and then check out this video to see the behind the scenes action of how it was made.
And then go here for a bit of it's history.

Now that's some field reporting! Looks like a nifty app, may just play around with it some time soon.

Very cool. Looking forward to scan through new user and professionally created synth collections, don't have a digital camera though and would probably not have the stamina to run around a building while taking pictures. Not asking for a digital camera here or anything...

Very good photosynth commercial. That was beautiful. At first I thought you were talking about extremely expensive software then I used perception (along with your voice) to realize it's a website's service. Very helpful.

that's great!
that's great!
It would be better if it will allow to create local Photosynth files, so you can watch it from your computer without interacting with web-site.
