How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- WMV (WMV Video)
One of our favourite people to talk to at CES is EDD President Robbie Bach. We caught up with the Xbox Chief again this year to recap the highlights of 2008 and some of the exciting new products coming in 2009 like an update to Ford Sync, a live version of 1 vs 100 on Xbox Live and two new Halo titles. Add to that a new Netflix queue app for Windows Mobile (that you can watch on your Xbox 360) and of course the highly anticipated Windows 7.

Somebody ask him in their next chat when are they going to announce Zune availability in the UK? I was sad to find my US credit card ran out about a week ago so my days with a subscription are limited... come on Robbie!
On a similar topic, get some LoveFilm support on the 360- it's Europe's equivalent to Netflix.
I remember the worldwide simulataneous launch MS did for the 360 when it came out- it's a real shame the same can't be said for the other products. I know it's complex but I do feel sometimes like Europe is an afterthought.
On the topic of announcements: Nothing too Earth-shattering from MS this year, but that's not a bad thing, Win7 is clearly going to take some time to get out of the way. I did enjoy the demonstration of the future textbook, despite having already seen it- as a medical student I would love an anatomy textbook with that functionality!

Generally, I am thrilled with the direction Windows Live seems to be going. And Windows 7 seems to be a big improvement. However, I would have liked to have seen a bit more love for Zune and Media Center. Especially Media Center considering it is such a big piece of Windows. There were alot of LCD TVs announced at CES that include ethernet & network player capabilities. Microsoft needs to strike more deals with these OEMs to have Media Extender included. Toshiba is a great start...but don't stop there.

Definitely, it's a chicken or the egg situation in regards to getting content and hardware but I would say the hardware deals need to come first. I will be looking out for the Toshibas if they ever arrive int the UK.
