How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).

- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”

- MP3 (Audio only)

That's great first step. Now you only need to support other protocols like Jabber (as far as I recall Facebook is in fact Jabber so this should be easy), ICQ, etc. and Messenger will become the ultimate IM.
Jabber would be fine, but ICQ should die finally. It'st he worst client, using the worst protocol existing - full of russian spammers.
But I don't think MS will implement any other protocols.
I don't see any Twitter integration. Have I missed it?
That's probably true but once you build a contact base you need it. For example I have like 10 times more ICQ contacts than MSN contacts. ICQ is still very popular in some parts of the world. I don't use the actual ICQ client because I prefer a client that can contain all my IM accounts. Right now my choice is Miranda. I would like to switch to Messenger but it is just not possible now.
With Video Live Messages Beta service discontinued last month, I was wondering if the Windows Live Team added the capability to create video messages into Windows Live Messenger or Mail. If so, how do you invoke this? Thanks
Is the beta written in WPF?
oh, so good, thank you very much for share.
