How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- WMV (WMV Video)
I figured I'd meet him at a conference someday or something, but otherwise tucked the information into the back of my head.
Then, last week, Mel Sampat, a guy who works on Windows Mobile stuff, sent me an email saying that he had a visitor with him who really wanted to meet me.
This happens every once in a while, and, yes, my ego inflates a bit each time. But this was different.
When Mel showed up with Clint, I still didn't know who Clint was. I thought he was another person stopping by to say "Hi" and get a tour of the Channel 9 offices.
About three minutes into meeting him, though, Mel told me who he was - The Disco Floor Guy!
I went a little nuts. Now, instead of Mel bringing someone by who wanted to meet me, it turned into Mel bringing someone by who I wanted to meet.
Many of us have been through something similar to this. You find out who someone is online - usually through articles, a blog, or whatever - but you have no idea what that someone looks like, so, the first time you meet in person, you talk for anywhere from three minutes to three hours before realizing who it is you're talking to.
That's what happened here, and it was neat.
I gave Clint a tour around the offices, and then asked if he'd like to be in a C9 video.
He did

BTW.... C# = VB.NET!!!!! BOTH MERGE TO IL!!!!
I know - I screwed up on the right/left thing.
I was just excited
I bumped my dose of Zoloft (sertraline) up a bit, and it seems to be helping out a lot with things like hand touching.
It still makes me feel weird, but I feel more comfortable now than before.
That said, I only touched his knuckles - for some reason, that's OK with my neuroses
This is a common maneuver of mine. To avoid a handshake, I'll often offer to hug someone or to do knuckles.
Plenty of human contact, so people are happy, and I can avoid getting any diseases (which doesn't seem to have worked - at home with a bad flu right now - blah).
I was thinkin similarly, but I want to see first if it makes sense to add the extra tag.
I think it will be, but I want to wait a little...
See, your immune system is sorta like Windows Live OneCare and it needs to be updated once in a while to keep the virus definitions up to date (i.e. get as many virus samples for your immune system to train on... especially new, updated vira). If you don't use the automatic update in windows your computer would be left wide open for anyone who'd like to get access. Just like your body is now open for all sorts of exploitation... :O
Ehh, wait. That last part didn't sound right... Well, you get the point.
So just go out and jump in an unclean pool... Sniff your fingers after poo poo, and sleep in a reactor core once in a while... It's all REALLY good for you!
Nah, I really like your interviewing style and your vids in general... Keep'em coming and keep up the good work!
Haha. Fantastic interview!!!!!!!!!!
