Okay, it's time to get down to business people. I am going to be bringing you a first person perpective of free demos for PC games. In an attempt to make this gaming segment work for you, feel free to offer any suggestions on upcoming free demos you would like me to cover. And when I say "cover" I don't mean simply tell you when the game is coming out and all the cool new weapons you can get your greedy little gamer hands on. I may do some of that too...but I'm going to play the demo for the first time and film it. I won't stop until I die. Yep. A personal glimpse into my lack of PC gaming skills. It's all about the console, baby! Okay, first stop F.E.A.R Extraction Point. I'll tell you some of the boring details. It's slated to come out mid-October. It's the first expansion pack released for this popular horror themed FPS. It does have this cool crate-supply system we didn't get to see in the first game and from what I can tell, you don't get to execute it during this demo. There's also a new wicked chain gun- which, of course, I die before I even find out if it's IN this demo. And to make things even more interesting...I shut off all the lights in my house and played FEAR in the complete dark. For a wimp like me, that's a huge deal...HUGE! Finally- go ahead and tell me your thoughts on F.E.A.R.!

I LOVE this idea. Live demo commentary FTW. As far as my views on FEAR, I actually played the 360 demo last night. It was a good FPS, but a pretty quick demo, at least on the console. It did have a few scare jammed in though, but they didn't give you enough play time to fully feel the effects. Tina, if you want a real fright you should pick up Condemned: Criminal Origins and play it at night with the lights off.... Spooooooky.

Gears of War... that's gonna be the game. I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition a few months ago. I can't wait... Only 6 more weeks or so.... >

Wow, almost 3 full minutes into the vid before we heard the first "sh<BLEEEEEEEP>!"
That's gotta be some kind of record.
Great video, Tina. Well-executed concept for a demo review.

This game is the best of 3d action!!!! I've played it all along the week! The Network Game on oficial server (with license copy of game) is very good!
Thanks for post and preview

How anti-climactic...you died in a fire. However, I suppose that's a fitting end for a goddess. After all, no mere mortal, computer generated or otherwise, could extinguish you - pun intended. You shall rise from your ashes, like a phoenix.

Jesting aside, this was a wonderful segment and it's always a pleasure to watch you do your thing. Thanks for taking us inside your home to watch you play in the dark, very intimate. I loved the girl screams and censored profanity! This really is a great concept for future videos. I'm not much for PC gaming at the moment, but F.E.A.R. is coming for the 360 shortly, and its on my hit list.
I'd love to see you have a go at the upcoming "TimeShift." I've been following that game's progress for the past few years and it looks to be really impressive. Also, If there is anyway you could give us a peak at the mysterious "BioShock" I'd be forever greatful. That game looks incredible. I'm an avid fan of both Art Decorum style and sci-fi shooters...so I'm completely psyched about it! I don't know much more about the game than what I've seen on ign, but I'm still crazy about it.
F.E.A.R. Extraction Points looks to expand the original story, but I'm not sure if it really expands the gameplay. From what I've seen, it just looks like more of the first with some new weapons tossed in. Again, great segment, Tina. Thanks.

Hi Tina,
Thank you, this video was fantastic. Felt (in my nutty head) like I was right there with you just a guy and a beautiful gamer. Fun, fun, fun, a blast do this again soon, please. You are the best Tina.

Yeah...sure you are. I can just imagine you sitting at home playing your 360 and spewing profanity into the air when your kids aren't within an earshot. Hehe.

Very interesting video. I didn't play the original F.E.A.R. on the PC, but I downloaded the (very brief) demo from Marketplace last night and I think the game is pretty damn sweet. The slow-motion stuff is great. Best part of the game, for sure.
While I do wish the environments were more "interesting" and the apparent frame-rate doesn't seem to be as smooth as it could (hopefully, it was just a demo issue), I certainly plan on buying the Xbox 360 version on Nov. 7 (then, Call of Duty 3 and Gears of Wars a few days later =)
Anyway, getting to the "Extraction Point" video, I thought it was clever and entertaining. Neat idea to have no lights on and to show us the demo, until the player died (Why did you walk into that flame, Tina? Why!?).
BTW, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember seeing the "slow-motion" effect being used in the demo. Was it?
Thank you for creating and posting the video, Tina. I didn't think the demo would make you scream that much=)
Hopefully, "Extraction Point" will be available on XBL in the near future (or sold at retail for a low price).
T-dub's got some skills. I'm wondering how her skills are on XBL, though...
