How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- WMV (WMV Video)
I gathered my group of Microsoft peeps who have been using Vista for a while now to talk to me about their personal usage. Sounds shady doesn't it? Everybody has hobbies right? We have a DJ, a Dad, a Gamer even a lover of gadgets to talk about using Vista the way real people do. How does a DJ use Media Center or a gamer use the xbox 360 connector? So many questions and now so many answers.

Another great idea and great segment. The camera work was whimsically amusing on its own.

Vista is great and it's nice to see how different peeps are utilizing it. Like Larry, gaming is one of the most important aspects of it for me at home. Battlefield 2 was the very first game I loaded on my new HP after Flight Sim X. Battlefield 1942 doesn't work too well though.
I'm also digging the ability to sync my Dash and 360 with computer. Great stuff! Again, fantastic segment, Tina.

I like the design of WMP 11 much better however I wish you could do more with it. The advanced tag editor is nice and is a must for dj's especially BPM's however I wish it would automatically scan and update the BPM's, looks like you still need to use a 3rd party application like Mixmeister's BPM Analyzer. Also it doesn't automatically download album art like Itunes does so you have to manually paste the artwork at least as far as I can tell. I'm curious to see if Serato Scratch Live will allow you to import a WMP playlist, I'll have to test that out. Itunes allows you to do this and this is key b/c dj's can just create playlists for upcoming gigs vs. sifting through thousands of mp3's on the spot.

I automatically get album art in WMP 11, although I've noticed some of my albums just show up as black. I think it's because it's having trouble reading the image. But out of the 200-300 albums I have on my machine, only 5 or so of them don't show album art.
That would be really cool if someone wrote a plug-in for WMP to automatically tag BPM.

I noticed that as well, some of my album art was missing, at first I just thought that it wasn't updating it.
The auto BPM counter would be awesome. Analyzing thousands of songs w/ another app is quite cumbersome.
