How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- WMV (WMV Video)
I did an interview yesterday with a few of the peeps from Zumobi. When I say peeps I mean Beth Goza and Sue Schmitz. Does anybody use the word peeps anymore? Anyway, in case you aren't familiar with Zumobi, their mobile content application allows you to access and share web-based content on most mobile phones and its FREE. They are in beta right now and are constantly looking for community feedback. You can choose up to sixteen widget-like tiles and it's got a unique zooming user interface. Today their announcing a major partnership with Microsoft. Check out the details and team from Zumobi. Come on, everybody's doing it.

I like the synchronization aspects but I'm not sure the zoom navigation method is all necessary. With a limit 16 items, couldn't you just click on a icon or on a non-touch phone use the d-pad to navigate.

I'm torn between trying the beta or just waiting until Zumobi has reached a final build. I'm actually using two phones (an older Nokia and a T-Mobile DASH) and just swapping out my SIM card on the go. I know the DASH could handle it, but for some reason I can't shake the suspicion I should wait a while.
Anyway, great to see you hosting another video segment. Yes, a few suave slackers in the recesses of society are still saying peeps...and I liked the double collapsing logo at the end. Very surprising.

Very cool segment. I like the idea and concept i wonder what phase of beta they're in? Also if they'll be porting the app for any other phones? I tend to stay away from early beta's but that's just me. Channel 10 tile yes! I may have to d/l that sdk just to have a look.
