How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
I pack my things and head to North Carolina and Epic Games, home of the unreal series, the unreal engine, and gears of war. As a gaming enthusiast and completel fan girl I wanted to find out how a level designer actually creates an interactive video game. And we do this with Gears of War. I hope you learn something, I did!

I recently got a 360 and I'm blown away. There are a lot of folks excited about Gears of War - I hope it's as good as it looks! The video from E3 was some of the best game footage I've seen.
Will this be a 360-only title? I believe so but I dont know.
Check out the video a couple of days ago on Battle for Middle Earth 2 for the 360. Not a lot of game footage but a great interview.

Guess that is the good thing of the DirectX API you can easly Compile code for 360 or PC. Something that would be much harder than PS3

Could be intresting, would like to see more games on PC/360 but needs Multiplayer crossover... know too many people who just love their PC's

requires some hefty hardware. While I'm majoring in commercial art and design, I wouldn't mind game design. I've morked with Maya and 3D max. Real time rendering and manipulation is very taxing on system hardware. Gears of War looks amazing. Cliffy B. and his whole staff are doing a bang-up job. Of course, the real test will come when the game finally launches on "emergence day"...whenever that is. Good job, T-Dub.

As a person who messes around with the 3D stuff I found that extremely fascinating. It doesn't hurt that the game is the coolest game ever of all time either... >

I have always wondered how the games are made but no one ever finds out, you never get to see boards being designed... or find out that it's done on High end PC's using all those app's...
Thank you for doing it on a Game like Gears Of War I can't wait for that game to come out...
This also made me appeciate the work that goes into designing the game, Never really knew it was so much work... I will now buy my own copy of the game I now feel the 65 bucks is well worth it instead of just playing my friends... since so much work goes into the game I hope it really does well....

and Gears Of War I will see you on launch day...
