Via Engadget, Cornell University released seomthing rather neat today, a robot that adapts to injury. Cornell taught the four legged creature to first learn about itself, then revise that model when damaged.
Now only if they could teach my Roomba that it actually isn't stuck, it just backed up into a wall.
Cnet has a few pictures showing more of the robot.
