Really looking forward to diving into this stuff.
My question: With all the 'excitement' around HTML5 what are the downsides to focussing on XAML for Windows development?
I've already invested a lot of time over the the last couple of years developing in Silverlight for Windows phone and I want to build on that rather than go 'back to the future' with HTML5.
Am I being foolish / narrow minded if I take this approach?
Thanks,
Ian

Awesome stuff - where can we get the code from?
It is really nice news! I am switching to Notepad++ and jQuery from today. My SilverLight controls ware customizations for another large web framework and today my work became obsolete.
Thank you very much!

Disclaimer: I'm just an open-source open-standrads fanbaby.
1) A really, really (to use the language of this conference) great presentation, the best IMO of build.
2) Wake me up when the blend tool will be web-based
[That's not to say that i don't envy you, it's a great tool!]
Is any one known how they put automaticly brackets in 'if' statement in 15:53 min?
Visual Studio team, please consider adding conditional "compilation" of Xaml template sections to Visual Studio. Something similar to how complation constants are handled in code would be nice, so that those of us who will have legacy applications to support will be able to extend our existing Xaml templates to deliver Metro style interfaces.
