Gene Chellis

Gene Chellis is Group Program Manager for the Hybrid Storage Services team in Windows Server, after directing program management for the Windows File Server team for the Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012 releases. Since joining Microsoft in 1997, he’s held a range of roles, from program management in commercial internet servers, to business development for Windows core and server, to senior director for Platforms Competitive & Regulatory Affairs. Prior pursuits included law practice, a software startup, technology consulting, and world music production. His education includes history and business (computer science emphasis) as well as law. Gene has lived in Seattle most of his life (along with time in eastern Washington, California, Connecticut and Washington, D.C.).
