When will the RTM version of the Express products be out and ready for download?

November 7 (official release date).
If you have a current MSDN subscription you should be able to download them now.  Looks like they went up on the 28th.

No, not the Express editions yet.

Wrong!

Taken from an MSDN Premium subscription.  I first saw it for download sometime Friday.

Duh, you're right. I probably used tunnel vision going straight for the Pro download Smiley

I posted something a few weeks ago (the post headed "out on October 14th" or somesuch I think) where Microsoft clearly indicated that the Express editions would NOT be going up on MSDN early and would only appear there on 7th November.

Which sort of makes sense given that MSDN is a paid for service whereas the Express editions are aimed at those who can't afford to buy the software.

I agree that it makes sense, I remember your post, however this isn't what they ended up doing.

Surprise! Tongue Out

For the non-MSDN subscribing public (the target audience of the Express Editions), November 7th is the release date.

I'm assuming that anyone with an MSDN subscription that can access the MSDN subscriber download area would rather use some other edition of Visual Studio instead.

That's not always the case, JChung2006, personally I use VS2005, but there are several people here who installed the VWD2005 because they purely do web development, for which the express edition is perfectly suited...

So they have VWD and VS05 installed even though they can do Web development with VS05?  OK...
