Human after all
I think I would top myself if that happened to Vista Expressionless

Damn, some of you guys need your eyes testing, or worse...
everyone has there own taste, if you dont like it, you dont like it, no need to be rude to a user who has made soemthing that you dont have to use.

As for me, i like it, the start bar could be customized to suit each users needs, a new user can have the standard start bar and power users could use it if they "liked" it. Doesnt mean they have to use it.

Why doesn't one of you clever devs build a wpf app that gives all users a start menu like that? Come on... I dare you.

This is what my current start bar looks like, crud but useful.

How on earth can that be useful?
Where is My Computer / My Network Places / My Documents / etc... ???
Don't say they are sitting on your desktop and you need to minimize everything to access them! Big Smile

The first thing I would do when sitting at your pc is change that start menu, because now the usability is anything but good.

That said, I like the looks of the new Vista mockup you posted, but I don't like "auto-hiding" stuff, I want to have everything instantly available.
Although I admit that I couldn't live without my dual screen 1600x1200. Wink
