I just installed a clean copy of Vista February CTP (5308). I've been trying to install Visual Studio 2005 RTM for the last half hour or so to no avail. All that happens when launching the setup is it dies and Windows says "Visual Studio Setup Launcher has stopped working".

Any ideas? I'm not running in a limited account, I'm as administrator.

Thanks!

Try copying the CD/DVD to your hard drive and install from there.

I've seen some issues with the CD/DVD not being read property on a machine with Vista.

I had that issue on 5270 but not on 5308. On 5308, regardless of whether I installed from the DVD or hard drive, the setup simply took insanely long (like 3-4x as long as on XP).
