this is cool

"We are in the early stages of development for a compiler and tools for writing Visual Basic (VB) programs for the Java Platform. That means we will compile VB source code into Java class files that will run on the Java Virtual Machine. Even better, you will be able to import existing VB6 applications into any of the Netbeans family of tools and continue to work on them "

Monkey see, monkey do, monkey will destroy you!

Do you have source to your OCXs? If not you'll have to rip em out and replace them. Call Win32 (or do your OCXs with source call Win32)? Rewrite that code.

Are they going to replicate ADO too?

How about .Net Application IL to Java?
Then you could program in whatever you wanted.
