Could you consider to provide more video formats ? For example 3GP to watch it on a mobile phone ? And since nowadays all goes widescreen a change to 16:9 format and maybe a HD version too ?

I would love to see a better Searching and Sorting feature.

I would like to search for "Generics" +videos and see a listing of all videos on the subject of Generics. Display the video screenshot and caption just as you do on the Video homepage. From the listing I want to be able to sort that list chronologically (asc or desc) by clicking on the Posted On heading.

I don't care to see the threads with superfluous comments. I want to see the videos.

At the very least, you can add sorting on the Posted On heading today. That will help while we wait for the next major rev. I can't believe no one has asked for that.

Hi, All. This is Tim Aidlin, the Designer (with some great "art direction from Adam) working with the team on the redesign of Channel 9. So far we've made some great progress, keeping in mind all of your excellent feedback.

I have to say, it really makes easy the task of creating a great user-centric site, that's super useful to you.

I've been hard at work collaborating with the team on UI, UX, new features, and the general aesthetic of the site ...

And don't worry, we're keeping the same "Channel 9 Feel" you know and love ... just pushing the site to the next level.

Again, thanks for all your comments and feedback. Check back soon for some design comps. We should be able to get those out soon.

Actually we did want to release sooner but we refocused our ideas today realized we we're ready yet. but of course, we're working hard ot get the comps out.

We are making good progress on the comps for the redesign. You will soon meet a new extended team member who has taken on the role of designer for Channel 9's next release.

We will release comps for your perusal soon. You're feedback, as always, will guide us in the direction you want us to go to best suit your needs (plus a little stuff for us...).

Dear Jeff,
It's nice to hear about the channel9 updates.

I have one suggestion that some of the corporate office (like mine) not allowed to stream video or the download of media files. So it's hard to know about the contents of the videos for the people like us. It would be helpful if you include the transcript of the same in the future version of Channel9. Thank you.

HC, the editor works in Opera 9. The only bug: if you click the link-button, the selected text is turned into a hyperlink, but it doesn't ask for a URL, and the produced HTML looks like this: <A href="null">Test</A>

Yes they are supported, sorry if I messed up my post and it wasn't clear - the Dave Hyatt post.

I setup a test page with just the Rich Text Box on it.

I honestly don't know if it will work at all as I haven't tested my browser recognition code yet. It "should", but that's not saying much. :P Let me know if it's printing out a textarea instead of an iframe (that means the server code isn't working right).
