Great quote, except Manip allready had condemed both Zarqawi and the people killing Zarqawi earlier on in the same thread. Big fan of Orwell and his political beliefs are we? Or just cherry-picking?
I find Orwell's honesty refreshing. I wanted to keep my critique concise, so the selection I pasted is somewhat imprecise but valid all the same. Manip's comments all seem constructed to morally equate Islamists and those threatened by Islamists and at the same time objecting to every action taken by those threatened by Islamists.
One of Orwell's points was the seemingly strange tendency of pacifics to be way more irritated by the actions taken by the West than those actions taken by the forces of totalarianism,, and Manip's comment history certainly reflects that.
If someone's true agenda is the overall reduction of human misery then one would realize that Western governments are way more sensitive to pacific criticism than those who threaten the West. Since the West is the party being targeted for attack, I dont see how weakening the resolve of the West's defense aids in the overall objective.
