In the old days, the Stealth was the GT, not the other way around, and the stealth didn't offer everything the 3000 GT did.

Nowadays, I believe the Stealth is very similar to the Eclipse.

If you open the drivers door on a stealth, you will see a sticker that says Manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors LTD

Doesn't Dodge own a percentage of Mitsubishi? 10 or 15 percent or something?

Not sure, but sounds likely, given the facts.
It's really a pity that Mitsu is doing so horribly, I wish the would downsize and just focus on what they are good at, performance.

There are already enough economy sedans and SUV's on the market and Mitsu could probably produce better high performance cars if that was all they were focusing on.

From the beginning
O.K. I was browsing on google and just happened upon this discussion and I feel the need to interject....sorry. To start dodge contracted with mitsubishi to build the stealth in 1990 but in 1996 they backed out due to the declining market in the performance car arena. today mitsubishi isn't doing that bad considering the U.S. only makes up 25%-30% of their worldwide sales. But to the point, steve, if money is no object in your 3000gt build then you should go here http://www.ipsmotorsports.net/index.php/cPath/2945_961 they have  anything you need for the 3000gt platform from stock horsepower all the way up to 2000+ horsepower. Another good place is here http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_index.asp money and skill is the limit.
