Look, no errors.
Does this work for anyone else? Every time I run it I get an "Installation Error":

"Installation information data unavailable."

I've downloaded it numerous times to get different things from microsoft.com, but I can never install it for some reason. I've always just opened IE6 to get what I need.

Also, since it's a Firefox plugin shouldn't it just install as soon as it's clicked, like any other Firefox plugin?
Yeah, I get the same error as well.

I've given up on WGA for Firefox....
Never worked for me either, I have IETab installed and just flick it to IE when I get the download pages that say you need a genuine windows. I'm not sure why it has to download the installer because all the extensions from mozilla.org just install off the site and other sites just have a bar at the top saying they were blocked.

Thanks Arowin.

Has anyone actually had this work, ever?

It used to work perfectly.

Now you need to download the exe. Open the exe in winrar or winzip. Pull the DLL into the Plugins directory for your firefox install. Drop the xpt into the components directory for your firefox install. Restart firefox.
I am not able to update windows with windows update and also not able to download anything due to this stupid WGA install falure. What a terrible situation to be in.

Please offer some help here.

It's not like a normal Firefox plugin, to uninstall it you have to manualy delete the dll...

I find it easiest to use the "Alternate Validation Method," (small hyperlink at the bottom of the page). I keep the WGAValidation exe on my desktop for easy access and tada.

You have to do windows update in IE or IEtabs anyway...

Firefox doesn't support active x which windows update uses.

It's easiest to turn auto upadate on.
