Does anyone here subscribe to 2600: The Hacker Quarterly? If so, what's it like and how does it compare to more "legitimate-sounding" MSDN magazine?

Finally, did any of you attend any of the HOPE conferences? I noticed a lot of you are all ISV-types, but whatever Smiley

I don't think the MSDN magazine and 2600 are even in the same ballpark when it comes to their target audience.... so comparing them seems fruitless IMHO.

True....

I buy 2600 every quarter off the shelf.... 2600 is a whole different breed... 2600 often covers both phreaking and hacking in general.... its a good read..... but its not a true developer magazine...
I've browsed through it at the book store, and it looked pretty lame. The content always was too political for my taste, and most of the tecnical articles weren't very technical.

IMHO the best technical magazines are Nuts & Volts and Circuit Cellar.
