Has anyone tried to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 trial on Vista RC-2. When I try to launch the application I get "an error has been detected with  a required application library and the product cannot continue"...

Just great, after downloading 450 MB all I get is an error message. Thank you very much, Adobe...
Yes, I've tried and got the same error.

I then download the "The Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 5.0.2 update provides compatibility with Microsoft® Windows Vista™ (32-bit versions only)" from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3569 and tried to install that and got another error (something about not being able to find a 'retail version of Photoshop Elements' on my machine) so installation aborted.

So it's not working.

Have you found a solution yet?

I've just found this on the Adobe site:

"Important note: Download the files and install and use Photoshop Elements with an account that has Administrative privileges. The updater process may fail if you are running the application under the Standard User Mode and change the default extraction location. This is due to standard users' access privilege rights set by Windows Vista.

1. Double-click the Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0.2 Updater application. If the updater reports that it cannot find the application to update, uninstall Photoshop Elements 5.0, reinstall the application (using the default folder name "Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0"), and then run the updater. "

Haven't tried this yet so will see how it goes...
