Rory, you say the mobile rendering engines aren't as poweful as their desktop counterparts. Well, Opera only has 1 rendering engine that is used for both desktop and mobile device. Want to see how a site will look on Opera Mobile without running it on Opera Mobile? Just run it in Opera on your desktop, and press Shift+F11 for small-screen rendering.

Are you saying that Opera for my WM device supports AJAX, DOM access, and other rich-experience features?

Yes, I do. They even have a platform you can use to develop mobile applications (online or offline) using HTML, CSS and JavaScript (including AJAX): http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/platform/

The same rendering engine is also used in Opera for Nintendo DS and Wii and TV and topset boxes.

Impressed much? Not too much? Much too much?
