Like the good old Soviet Union it’s State run media.

The BBC extracts a TAX from their loyal subjects, then they broadcast their biased news around the world.

It’s good for the business interests of the British upper class. The upper class in Britain don’t remain the upper class by speculation, most know the outcome before they invest.

I guess a week ban wasn't enough, eh?
How do you think the British upper class remains the upper class? Hard work?

What's funny is I have friends who claim to read the BBC news for their "impartiality."

Does this suprise you?

No news outlet is unbiased.  Not Fox News, not CNN, not the BBC, not the CS Monitor....  some may be less biased than others, but as long as humans are writing the stories, there's going to be some inherent bias.

There is a rebuttal from the BBC editor saying that the meeting was an exercise in theoretical situations.

Now of course you can simply think this is arse covering, it's up to you.

For a start, this wasn’t a secret meeting... it was streamed live on the web. The meeting was made up of executives, governors and lots of non-BBC people like John Lloyd from the FT and Janet Daley from the Daily Telegraph. It was planned as a serious seminar to investigate and understand better the BBC’s commitment to impartiality in an age in which spin and opinion riddle much of the world’s journalism. The seminar was part of a bigger project kicked off by Michael Grade earlier this year to re-examine the underlying principles of impartiality in the digital age when boundaries between conventional broadcasting and the new platforms will increasingly disappear.

The BBC is manned by people. People ARE biased, whether you like it or not, or they are aware of it not. It does a better job than most of TRYING to stay impartial.

Unlike the Daily Mail which thinks everyone's a screaming left-wing pinko. I mean honestly for The Daily Mail to accuse the BBC of bias is laugable to anyone who's read its hate-filled right wing bile.

Of course not, his hatred of us and the system we live in runs much deeper than that.  He's far too busy trying to occupy the moral high ground and offend UK Niners to worry about getting another week long ban - I keep wondering why he got the special treatment in the first place.  You see any criticism of America tends to be of the American Government, all the criticism of the UK is aimed at upsetting individuals with his pro-terrorist (IRA) agenda.

This'll go on for another three months until enough of us moan at the same time for Charles to do something about it.

Wow, the Daily Mail accuses the BBC of being biased. (Yes, I know the BBC employees admitted bias, but then, that's fairly natural as they all are going to be bias. But for the Daily Mail to be pointing the finger is laughable.)

I'm drowning in irony over here.

Still, it made a change from blaming immigrants, gypsies, hoodies, druggies, rappers or any other minority - so it must have taken quite an effort of will.

C9 as a community seems to foster a more US community than international.  He has on three seperate threads insulted the British population and apparently that's ok with C9 policy.

BBC sports is worse. There's the old observation that when anyone Welsh, Scottish or Nothern Irish is winning then they're British, when they lose they're not.
Oke a Troll topic gets a Troll reply. This guy loves attention. And on this point he is getting that. He is social not well skilled, but he feels he is, because C9érs got uppset by his opinion. There is only one good solution to this problem. Give hem no attention, give him the rights to see but not to talk. Delete all his posts.

Paul, why did you even come back if all you were going to do is start the same stuff that got you banned last time? If you know its not acceptable here, either change your behaviour, or go somewhere else?

Yeah, like the Daily Mail can talk.

I like the BBC news, of course it will be biased, but at least it isn't as bad as Fox News who labeled Foley as a democrat!

The only think that really pisses me off about the Beeb is they sometimes think their reporting ends at the English border.

Am a slight innacuracy there, while historically you may have been correct one or more reports state that the IRA are no longer engaged in terrorisim.

But they were, and it is that agenda that he believes in , not the current one.

And it depends which bit. Splinter groups certainly are.

He must be part of the seperatist PPIRA (Plastic Paddy IRA), they live in the past and so I guess it might be another 20 years or so before the news might filter through.

Hey eagle here's a message from your "homeland". We've moved on and become one of the wealthiest nations in the world. Perhaps you should follow our lead.

Wait, fudge this, I had a reply typed out there as I am from the North I actually might have been able to give some input on this.

But then I realised that this is the most ridiculous thread that I have ever read on these forums, and there has been some seriously stupid threads over the last couple of years, so I typed this instead.

wasn't there a big fuss this week about the "Real IRA" starting up again? Heck the Independent Monitoring Commission has stated in numerous reports that the Real and Continuity IRAs are still arming and recruiting.
