In some countries. The right to reverse engineer is country specific. Even then, in Europe, it's only for interoperability with other software. Playing a DVD is not interoperating with software.

The age of 1990s... that's before DVD technology even exist. This makes your comment plain amasing.

See? Even Win95 have a version that installs from floppy because even CDROMs are not quite common at that time.

Try playing a DVD from 2008 on Linux. Bet the pictures arn't there because Linux doesn't have DRM.

Edit: Just noticed this thread is from 2006. What's with the sudden burst of necrobumping on C9?
