It's so smooth...

This is now a candidate for the most amazing thing I've seen in my life.

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...
Incredible.

Just sitting there cycling through the photos by pressing space... it's downright hypnotic!

Major props to the guys who created this.

See the system requirements to verify that your system is supported (although I'd think that yours should be, W3bbo).

T'was an installation bug, it works fine on my Tecra under IETab in Firefox (An IE7 tab at that) now.

Blimey, that's good-looking.

Although, this technology has been around for quite some time now, but this is the first time I've seen it presented in a polished form for public consumption.

Saw it this morning. Really impressive stuff. The San Marco demo collection is probably my favorite one.
I'm curious to see how well it'll work with my own pictures.

Wheres my head at?

It is really cool.

But I thought in the Video that it would display photos from the whole scene at once, as it stands now I can only seem to select one photo to view at a time, appart from when using the "all photos" button which just lines them up on the screen.

Am I missing something, or was it cut down to one photo visiable at a time to improve performance?

It seems harder to navigate this way, as the only reference you have for your location in the scene is the dots from the other images. I find I have to zoom out a fair bit to make enough dots visible to get a sense of where I want to go next.

Totally agree with that! it´s soooo smooth CoolBig Smile I questioned myself how they did that.
Hopefully they get it working in Firefox soon so I can try it out.
says: "We are unable to open the collection '*.sxs', and we 're not sure why. Please try another one." already tried same error.

Always in motion the future is..
The videos show a  great app/experience.  I love the idea.  I tried running it on my machine.. all it really did was "REALLY" slow down my computer a lot.  I eventually killed the browser it was in.  So with Vista RC2, 1G ram, roughly 500-600KB/sec internet download speed, Radeon 7500 AGP 64Meg DDR.. and P4 1.6G CPU and an Asrock P4VM800 motherboard... that was my experience.

I'd say it was the GPU that killed it, Radeon 7000 series is what...2002?

That's unfortunate...  you really should try another machine if you get a chance (it needs quite a bit on the graphics card end, hopefully that will get better as time goes on).  It's amazing.
