You can now run Windows apps (through parallels) on the OSX desktop,
and it acts like any other Windows app. The only down side I can see is the having those ugly windows apps UIs next to the lovely mac UI Wink

Vista - just another crossover or wine for Mac OS X!

Software emulation? no thank you. Apple's BootCamp running in circles around parallels.

Why is the caption missing??
I have both Parallels and BootCamp running on my Macbook Pro laptop, and do prefer BootCamp 9 times out of 10. Parallels has some issues with drivers and stuff, but BootCamp is a lot more stable and much, much better.

What I think is more impressive is that Parallels can now (theoretically) boot from a boot camp partition.

It's got to be fun keeping it activated like that, though.

Parallels is not emulation software like Bochs or Virtual PC on Power PC, it has much better performance. Most instructions are executed directly on the processor without any emulation.
I certainly wouldn't consider having to reboot running circles around something that is now (with coherence) giving you Windows-apps interspersed with your Mac ones.
