AH!
On10.net has a sweet background for the Zune.

Is there one for Channel9?

No, but you can probably hack one together in Photoshop with the site assets in minutes.

Ask Jamie, he's loves doing that sort of thing.

Get him to do a 480x640 one too, so us VGA PDA users dont feel left out.

True, I should make one at least to get the effort started.  Which reminds me we should put together a page linking to all of the extras made for channel9, like wallpapers and such.

Well here's my suggestions:

I'm white because I smelt an onion.
The Zune Menu is on the left.  Maybe have the C9 Guy on the right so it doesn't hide underneath the menu?

I deleted the PSD, I didn't think I'd need it again.

I got the full C9 guy from Archive.org's store of the first Channel9. I made the pattern background with the pencil tool (then Edit > Define Pattern), then adding a new layer and adding a white-to-transparent gradient over it (with the blending mode set to "Screen")

It's fairly easy to just flip it.

But I guess your way works as well. Tongue Out
