Eat my plasma
Want a copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2007 ???  How about Groove 2007 ?

Well, if you are in the US and are a developer, then check out http://blogs.technet.com/keithcombs/archive/2007/01/05/how-would-you-like-a-complimentary-copy-of-office-2007-professional.aspx

It's pretty simple.  Attend a MSDN event in Q3 (Jan - March), learn kewl stuff and get a complimentary key.  That key lets you download a real non time bombed copy of Office Pro 2007 along with Groove 2007.

As with all of our events, seats and stuff are limited so register quick.

I doubt it.  The MSDN events start at 1pm and usually we hand out a coupon good for a coke and popcorn.  I guess it depends on your definition of food.

Here in denmark, we get some nice sandwiches at MSDN events.
But Office 2007  > Free food Tongue Out

Of course it *looks* like my nick is just my name, but actually, well, it's just my name.
I haven't even seen anything about a New Zealand launch yet...
Unless I've missed something there's not been a whisper.Sad

Software freebies (apart from the fact that free stuff is always nice) are an excellent way of jump-starting adoption.

At the Visual Studio Launch events in the UK in 2005 every delegate was issued with a voucher for a free copy of Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition and SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition.

It's always US and UK... That's the normal Microsoft behaviour Wink
