Any guesses as to what will be revealed this year? Anybody attending this event? The Apple home page states the first "30 years were just the beginning".

2007-30=1977
Wasn't that when the Apple I or the Apple II was released?

Jobs' Keynote at Macworld Expo, 01/09/2007, 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM
I predict with absolute confidence that the following won't be announced by Jobs : "iResign"

Given how excited I'm getting about the SideShow widgets I was watching over on 10 ( Tongue Out ) it'd have to be pretty awesome to compete.
The MacWorldExpo website apparently has gone down.

Blog coverage here.

Perplexed

Is there a live stream available somewhere? *watched Pirates of Silicon Valley right until now*

Apple usually doesn't have live streams, rather they post the keynote to their website a few hours after it's over.

Also, is it me or is iTv a little too similar to eyeTv (as far as naming)?

iTv is no more... It is named appletv now Smiley

Expressionless
As someone else stated...appletv and a separate 3-in-1 device called iphone:

Well if he can reinvent the service providers I would buy one.

Hahaha, hes insane, Apple really is turning into a dangerous brain wash cult (not this doesn't mean I don't like some Apple products).
MS warned Apple not to go the phone route?  Read it and weep MS....

iPod phone. Sorry but fanboy aside this absolutely beats, crushes and owns the Zune. Wow zune has wifi squirting, the killer feature. Not anymore.

Weird... I thought I had that for years now? I have a web browser (IE) on my phone + Windows Media Player (that plays mp3, wma, ...) and it's also a phone Tongue Out

But some ideas of the iPhone are cool. Such as to use (finally) the fingers as touch pens Smiley and is easy, for sure!
iPhone...

Bluetooth, Wifi , Safari browser, iTunes, Photos, Videos, detects and adapts if you turn it horizontal or vertical, visual voicemail and all in 11.6 mm thick.

The zune just got fatter Wink
I don't know... touchscreen phone? Expressionless

Where have you been?  Touch screen phones have been around for years, just the UI requires a stylus or a childs finger to use it.

Don't be bitter just because you want one.

This is truly visionary... I wondered for a few years now how long it took to do something like this... By visionary I mean a phone that requires only the fingers to do the input.

The iPhone is not visionary, it's just the first to market on the Onyx Concept, give credit to Synaptics, not Apple.

I know, PocketPC Phone edition anyone?

They are just impractical for pretty much any point of view... and I can't see how (considering the same 3.5" screen size used on my JasJar or on the Apple phone) I am forced to use a stylus. The buttons have pretty much the same size on both screens.

Oh trust me, I don't want one now. I am closing on my new house, I don't need another mortgage Smiley

The reason nobody did this before is because they've been waiting for the cost of touch screens to come down. It is typical Apple to make the move to the more costly technology first, and then latter on everyone else will follow their move.

Er... as another_darren said, touchscreen phones have been available for a while.

And at $499 for the small one, it surely looks expensive. Let's see how much it is with a service contract.

MULTI-touch screen phones? No, thought not.
